Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using SparkED, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Use of the Service

You may use SparkED to create professional digital identity profiles. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you publish.

3. Prohibited Use

You may not use SparkED to publish false, misleading, defamatory, or illegal information.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

SparkED is offered on a freemium basis. The Free plan is available at no cost. Paid plans (Starter, Advanced, Business, Business Pro, and Enterprise) are billed in advance on either a monthly or annual basis, as selected by you at checkout.

  • Annual billing is offered at a discount equivalent to two months free compared to paying monthly.
  • The Business Pro plan includes a fixed number of profiles in its base price; additional profiles beyond that allowance are billed at the per-profile add-on rate shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
  • Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) or US Dollars (USD), depending on your selection, and exclude any taxes, levies, or duties unless stated otherwise.
  • Two-factor authentication (email, SMS, and authenticator app) is included on every plan, including Free.

5. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Paystack, a third-party payment service provider. SparkED does not store your full card details. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise Paystack to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis for the chosen billing cycle until you cancel or downgrade your subscription.

6. Renewals, Upgrades & Downgrades

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may upgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard, with the new plan taking effect once payment is confirmed. You may downgrade to the Free plan at any time; downgrading takes effect immediately, and you are responsible for reducing your usage (e.g. number of profiles) to within the Free plan's limits.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time via the "Manage subscription" option in your dashboard billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period. Fees already paid are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law or at SparkED's sole discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us within 14 days of the charge via our contact page.

8. Price Changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of any price increase affecting your active subscription. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

9. Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge and/or place your account into a "past due" state with reduced access to paid features until payment succeeds or your subscription is cancelled.

10. Intellectual Property

SparkED and its branding are the property of Incendio Digital Labs. Your profile content remains your own.

11. Limitation of Liability

SparkED is provided "as is" without warranties. Incendio Digital Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
